One school, different destinations — we take you to the right one
A new MSc student going straight to accommodation needs a different journey from a researcher due at Tavistock Place, a visiting professor heading to Keppel Street or a delegate attending an event elsewhere in London. Crystal Executive Cars (CEC) plans the booking around the person, the flight and the real destination.
Start with the right door in Bloomsbury
LSHTM has two key London sites. They are close to each other, but they are not interchangeable. The full addresses are shown once here so a passenger, booker or travel coordinator can use the correct destination from the start.
Keppel Street
Use this for journeys where the course, library visit, meeting or appointment is at the main building.
Tavistock Place
Use this when the timetable, research appointment or invitation names Tavistock Place.
Your LSHTM journey depends on why you are travelling
There is no reason for every passenger to be taken to the same university entrance. We plan around the actual day instead.
For most new students, the useful first stop is the hall, apartment or hotel where they are staying, especially when travelling with several cases.
Send the LSHTM site, meeting time and hotel details. A second appointment or return journey can be added when arranged in advance.
The correct destination may be a conference venue rather than LSHTM itself. We use the event address supplied with the booking.
Airport, hotel, university and evening stops can be planned as one itinerary when the schedule is known beforehand.
Airport transfers to LSHTM and Bloomsbury
Heathrow is the main long-haul route for this service, but CEC can also arrange direct pre-booked journeys from London’s other major airports.
Direct chauffeur-driven travel to Bloomsbury, accommodation, hotels and other confirmed London destinations.
Suitable when Gatwick matches the passenger’s flight, with road time dependent on traffic and the final London stop.
Often used for European and business travel, with direct private hire available to Bloomsbury.
A door-to-door booking can remove the need to manage a cross-London interchange with luggage.
Direct collections and airport returns can be booked when Luton suits the flight schedule.
Heathrow to LSHTM: meet your chauffeur, then go straight to the right London stop
CEC can collect from Heathrow Terminals 2, 3, 4 or 5 and travel directly to the required LSHTM site, student accommodation, hotel or another confirmed destination. This can be particularly useful on a first arrival in London when passengers are carrying luggage and do not want to change between rail or Underground services.
Crystal Executive Cars (CEC) is a Transport for London (TfL)-licensed private hire operator. Journeys are pre-booked and chauffeur-driven, with the fare confirmed for the booked itinerary.

New students often need the chauffeur to go to their accommodation first
LSHTM says it does not have its own student accommodation. For 2026/27 it has an allocation in University of London Intercollegiate Halls, while many students choose other University-managed or private housing. That makes the residence name more useful to the chauffeur than simply saying “LSHTM”.

Research and global-health visits rarely fit a simple airport-to-campus pattern
LSHTM attracts researchers, visiting academics, collaborators, speakers and delegates from around the world. Their transport often works better as a planned sequence rather than a single university drop-off.
Useful when the meeting is the following day and the passenger needs to check in and leave luggage first.
Multiple confirmed stops can be quoted in advance around the visitor’s schedule.
The chauffeur can work to the actual event location rather than assuming the event is held at LSHTM.
In Bloomsbury, the final few streets matter
Central London traffic, temporary closures, events and busy university and hospital streets can change the final approach. A precise destination and a working passenger mobile number are more useful than a broad instruction such as “the university”.
For rail connections, nearby stations include Euston and King’s Cross St Pancras, while Underground options around the area include Russell Square, Goodge Street, Tottenham Court Road and Euston Square.
Graduation 2027 is at Central Hall Westminster, not at LSHTM
LSHTM’s current graduation information confirms that the 2027 ceremonies and receptions will take place at Central Hall Westminster on 18 March 2027. Eligible graduates receive their ceremony timing separately. For graduation travel, the venue on the invitation should therefore be used instead of Keppel Street or Tavistock Place.
LSHTM to the airport: work backwards from check-in
For a return journey, send the airport, terminal where known, flight departure time, passenger number, luggage and the place where the passenger will actually be waiting. CEC can then plan the collection around the flight and the Central London pickup point.
Use the agreed pickup point for the building where the passenger finishes, rather than automatically returning to the main site.
The chauffeur can collect directly from the booked accommodation, so there is no need to travel to LSHTM first.
If a conference or dinner finishes elsewhere in London, that venue can be the airport collection point when arranged in advance.
Questions about LSHTM airport transfers
Can an LSHTM department or organisation book travel for a visiting guest?
Yes. Provide the passenger name and mobile number together with the flight, hotel, meeting destination and any return requirements so the booking can be coordinated around the guest’s itinerary.
Can several researchers or delegates travel together?
Yes. Send the total passenger number, luggage and any specialist baggage before confirmation so the appropriate vehicle category can be considered.
Can CEC collect from Euston or King’s Cross St Pancras instead of an airport?
Yes. Rail-station collections can be pre-booked. Give the train details, passenger contact number and final destination when arranging the journey.
Can I add a hotel or second meeting to the booking?
Yes. Multi-stop travel can be quoted when the sequence of stops and any fixed meeting times are supplied in advance.
What happens if an inbound flight is delayed?
Provide the flight number when booking so the flight can be monitored. Waiting and significant schedule changes remain subject to the booking terms.
Is the price agreed before the journey?
CEC provides a confirmed quotation for the booked itinerary. Additional stops, route changes or other extras should be agreed before or during the booking process.

Book the journey around the person, not just the institution
Send the flight or collection details, the real final destination, passenger number and luggage. For academic visits, conferences or multi-stop days, include the itinerary so the journey can be planned properly from the start.
Journey times can change with traffic, roadworks, airport terminal and Central London conditions. Check current LSHTM, accommodation or event information before travelling.
